And it's definitely been fun. We haven't been hiking recently because of the rain, but we've been out surfing when we can. Even though i can skateboard, getting good at surfing is like learning to skateboard all over again, except when i eat it i don't bleed all over the place.
Also, I got a new toy to play with - the Sennheiser HD 650s. Of course, headphones as good as those need a headphone amp so i just picked up a Total Bithead. The bithead probably doesn't do the 650s justice, but it's all i'm willing to buy now, and when i have more money i'll get a better amp. For now, I'll manage with the bithead.
At $500 they ain't cheap, but i got the 650s for a lower price than that; i wouldn't have wasted $500 on those headphones because i knew i could find them for cheaper if i waited for the right time. I ordered them right before black friday, but a mixup didn't let me see them until the day before Christmas. All's well now, and they are quite good headphones. I like them because they're comfortable, which is probably due to the fact that they are circumaural, or full size headphones. I can wear my glasses and wear the headphones basically all day without any discomfort. After a while, the headphones don't even feel like they're there and listening to them is like being in a room filled with a massive sound system.
I'm not an audiophile, but I do like my music to sound good, and I've already used the HD 595s so i figured that i couldn't go wrong by sticking to the Sennheiser brand.
Now, back to hikes and stuff. This week Kevin wanted to try a hike and if the weather is nice, we're gonna try it on Thursday.
